Safety And Moderation

How reports, restrictions, bans, and approval queues affect site content.

Reporting

Events, channels, and profiles can be reported by users who do not own that content.

  • Report buttons are red and appear on supported public pages.
  • Users cannot report themselves or their own content.
  • Admins process reports from the backend.

Moderation Queue

Profile edits, username changes, channel changes, and event changes can require approval.

  • Admins approve or reject pending requests.
  • Suspended users cannot post or edit content during the restriction period.
  • Banned users are logged out and their public content is hidden.

Account Restrictions

Restrictions and bans are different tools and should be used for different severity levels.

  • Content restrictions can hide public content or stop posting/editing without fully banning the account.
  • Bans block normal login and hide public content while active.
  • Temporary bans can expire and should include a clear reason.

Reporting Clearly

Good reports help moderators and admins act faster.

  • Include the specific issue rather than a vague complaint.
  • Report the content from its own page when possible.
  • Do not use reports to contact event hosts about normal scheduling questions.
