Channel Pages
A channel gives creators a branded event feed with a thumbnail, cover image, description, and public links.
- Recommended image dimensions are shown on the create/edit forms.
- Website, Discord, YouTube, and X links can be edited on the channel edit page.
- Admins can manage channels while normal owners retain their regular tools.
Subscriptions
Users can subscribe to channels and choose notification delivery per channel.
- Website notifications and e-mail notifications are separate toggles.
- Defaults are off for channel notifications.
- Preferences are visible on the channel page after following.
Channel Feeds
Public channels expose shareable feeds for people and integrations that follow a creator schedule.
- The RSS link is available from the channel share tools.
- The calendar link provides an .ics feed for that channel's upcoming public events.
- The Subscribe link opens a webcal calendar subscription in supported apps.
- The JSON link is available after the channel is public and is intended for integrations.
- Channel VRChat group links are included in channel JSON when the owner has added a group code.
Moderation
Channel creation and edits can be moderated before becoming public.
- Suspended or banned users have public content hidden.
- Reports can be submitted from channel pages by users who do not own that channel.
- Admins review reports and moderation requests in the backend.
Owning And Managing Channels
Channel owners retain normal user-facing management tools, while admins can step in when support or moderation requires it.
- Use My Channels for your owned channels.
- Use channel edit pages for branding, descriptions, links, thumbnails, banners, and VRChat group codes.
- Channel badges show on channel pages, channel cards, public feeds, widgets, and the channel edit page.
- Channel subscribers, event activity, gifted points, and channel age can be used as automatic badge signals.
Channel Notifications
Following a channel and receiving notifications are related but separate choices.
- Users can follow a channel without enabling e-mail notifications.
- Website and e-mail notification settings can differ per channel.
- Creators can use Discord webhooks for explicit channel event announcements and reminders.
